Camping Journal | Camping in Azuza

Camping Journal | Camping in Azuza

This weekend I went camping in Azuza.

I’ve been meaning to go camping since spring, so I did an overnight stay at Crystal Lake Campground. The drive wasn’t very long and that would explain why the camping grounds were so packed. Thankfully, I ended up finding a spot to set up camp for the night.

After setting up camp, I laid down to relax for a minute. About ten minutes after I laid to rest on my Outdoor Afro, Inc. Nature Nap Satin Pillow, I was out. I  spent the rest of the evening in and out of sleep, journaling, coloring and eating in between  naps.

When it got dark, I sat out and watched the stars. I even got to make a wish on a  shooting star before calling it a night. After a very restful night of sleep, I got up and spent a little time sitting in the sun and taking in the view before meditating to start my day off right.

I then began packing up my belongings and loading up the car. Before I head back to the city, I stopped at a trail leading to soft flowing creek. After a small hike and a stop by the water, I trekked back to my car and prepared for the drive back home.

I definitely needed some time off the grid. Although my trip was a short one, it helped me feel rejuvenated and ready for another productive week.
